About Programme

The automotive sector, and by extension, the mobility ecosystem, is undergoing a crucial transformation. New business models, new dynamics between brands and distributors, and economic and social changes are forcing all its players to ask themselves a crucial question: How can I build a future that ensures my competitive relevance?

Likewise, recent years have seen the entry of Asian competitors with value propositions aimed at disrupting the existing status quo. Following their initial success, new players are already knocking on the door of the European market.

Finally, a new technology, artificial intelligence (AI), has made a strong entry into the ecosystem. New models of customer engagement and unforeseen opportunities for automation require us to pay close attention to this set of technologies.

The sixth edition of CARLAB revolves around this threefold challenge: envisioning, designing and building a relevant future in an ecosystem marked by a constant influx of new players and the emergence of artificial intelligence.

IE University and the organizations that partner with CARLAB 7.0 have developed a perspective that is both realistic and innovative. It envisions new value propositions characterized by:

Building this meaningful future requires combining three capabilities, which form the cornerstones of the program. The first is a comprehensive understanding of the reality of the ecosystem and its evolution. The second is an understanding of new opportunities and business models that will be able to capitalize on the changes currently taking place. The third is the implementation of a leadership and management model for your teams, aligned with this goal of sustainable growth.

Programme Content

CARLAB 7.0 is a unique opportunity that invites all stakeholders in the ecosystem to explore their options for addressing the challenge of sustainable growth. This includes:

Defining the scenarios that shape their organization’s evolution in the short, medium and long term within a context of sustainable growth
Discovering the new opportunities hidden within these scenarios, which will translate into recovery

Program structure

To ensure an appropriate learning pace, the program is structured around four in-person days, each consisting of five sessions and seven and a half hours. There will also be one additional day of mentoring and personalized follow-up.

UNIQUE PARTICIPATORY METHODOLOGY

The program’s methodological foundation is based on learning through co-creation. Shared learning is built by:

Identifying shared challenges
Contributing one’s own experience as a starting point for developing solutions to these challenges
Exploring options through dialogue and joint discussion among professionals from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences
Developing an individual response with the support of the other participants

This shared learning is facilitated by a wide range of methodologies, including:

The use of program “orchestrators” (academic directors) who provide an overview of the program, draw key conclusions from each session and facilitate the integration of real-world experiences and the concepts learned during the sessions
Presentations introducing key concepts, enhanced by the analysis of relevant case studies and examples
Discussion of the strategic challenges associated with sustainable growth using tools that can be replicated in the corporate setting
Development of a personalized roadmap for each participant, which focuses on improving their current model and creating future models for success
