In order to be successful, leadership challenges encountered today need to be understood comprehensively in their strategic context. Managers negotiate a turbulent environment that is becoming increasingly complex and uncertain. To achieve success in the short term as well as the long term under these circumstances, it is necessary that we develop an ability to holistically comprehend the business processes, craft effective strategies, and implement them successfully. This programme aims to develop such capabilities in managers, enabling them to enhance their role in the firm’s endeavor to create and capture value.

The programme aims to develop a General Manager perspective in the minds of managers that are aspire to successfully man the top management positions in their profession. We explore the nature of problems and multiple challenges faced by leaders and impart analytical skills that may be used to successfully project an organization on a growth path and ensure long term survival with superior performance.

It employs an integrative approach emphasizing analysis of real life situations through the case method approach to provide an in depth understanding of current understanding of strategic leadership to achieve managerial excellence. The programme will use lectures/ full length cases. Faculty will lead the discussion on these cases. Compulsory residential stay is required to prepare the cases assigned for the sessions.

The course is designed for middle or senior level executives interested in performing successfully as a member of the top management team, or preparing for manning such positions in the organization in the future.
