About Programme

Women in leadership often find that they bear a heavier burden of responsibilities shaped by expectations unequally assigned. The continual demand to establish credibility, the experience of conversational marginalisation, the double bind between authority and warmth, and the intensified scrutiny directed at their voices all require more than the clear articulation of ideas. They call for presence—clarity of mind, steadiness of voice, and a purposeful command of one’s leadership space. These expectations, whether implicit or explicit, shape how women’s authority is received and how confidently they are able to exercise influence. Designed exclusively for women leaders, this programme treats presence as a strategic imperative: a deliberate, communicative practice that shapes outcomes, directs change, and strengthens one’s leadership identity. Drawing on reflective traditions within the humanities, it provides a considered space for examining voice, assertion, and authority in ways that deepen judgment and sharpen communicative precision. Through structured inquiry, purposeful practice, and thoughtful dialogue, participants learn to articulate ideas with confidence, navigate demanding conversations with composure, and communicate with a power that is measured, authentic, and strategically aligned.

Influence, authority, and navigating gendered expectations Assertive communication and boundary-setting for women leaders Managing interruptions, minimisation, and contested authority Leadership presence, confidence, and communicating power Narrative construction and storytelling for visibility and influence Dialogue and negotiation in high-stakes or male-dominated contexts

Capstone project: Crafting a personal leadership-communication blueprint

Programme Objective

To strengthen the leadership presence and communicative power of women leaders by deepening clarity, confidence, and strategic intent. The programme enables participants to navigate gendered expectations, exercise assertiveness with composure, manage difficult conversations with purpose, and articulate narratives that reinforce credibility and leadership impact within complex organisational landscapes.

Pedagogy

Reflective practice, case analysis, structured dialogue, and facilitated discussion form the core of the programme. Women only peer circles enable participants to explore shared experiences, practise assertive communication in a psychologically safe environment, and experiment with presence and voice. Applied simulations, smallgroup exercises, and guided reflection support the development of communicative judgement tailored to the leadership realities women encounter.

Programme Audience

Women in mid- to senior-level leadership roles who wish to strengthen their presence, influence, and strategic communication capabilities. Ideal for leaders responsible for decision-making, stakeholder engagement, team direction, or navigating high-visibility or high pressure professional situations. The programme is especially valuable for women seeking to project authority with confidence, manage demanding conversations, and enhance the communicative dimensions of their leadership identity.
