Oxford Climate Ventures

Oxford Climate Ventures is a pre-accelerator programme delivered by Oxford Saïd Entrepreneurship Centre and the ZERO Institute for the real-world deployment of ideas and research from Oxford, by helping build commercially sustainable ventures that accelerate the energy transition and positively impact the climate crisis.

Delivered at Saïd Business School, Oxford Climate Ventures will support individual and teams of innovators working on energy transition, climate mitigation and adaptation along with net zero solutions whether you're developing a new business idea, looking to spin out a solution from your research or keen to learn how to commercialise your expertise.

Throughout the programme, participants will work on a practical and real business idea through expert mentorship, practical workshops and access to Oxford’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Each team will aim to generate an investable venture together and pitch it to an audience of investors and stakeholders at the end.

Through our two-day intensive weekend bootcamp held in person at Saïd Business School on 6-7-8 November 2026, you’ll build early momentum and lay the foundation for the rest of the programme. You’ll develop your idea through structured activities, collaboration with peers and hands-on support from the Oxford Climate Ventures team.

In-person at Saïd Business School throughout November and December 2026, you will attend a total of 7 sessions on Wednesday evenings (5-8pm) on various business-related topics relevant to your climate venture. We’ll connect you with a journey mentor who’ll provide ongoing guidance and you’ll have access to specialised mentors for targeted support on specific aspects of your venture.

The programme concludes with a live pitching event in January 2027, where you’ll present your venture to an audience of mentors, investors and climate innovation leaders from across the Oxford network. This is your opportunity to share your progress, gain visibility and connect with those who can help you take the next step.
