Upon successful completion of this hands-on training programme, officers will be able to: Analyze macroeconomic and financial developments of a country using historical data and gain experience of a hands-on data driven statistical/ econometric tools. Analyze and diagnose the macroeconomic outlook for the economy. Assess the stance of current fiscal and monetary policy stance. Assess macro-financial linkages, including through the analysis of financial sector soundness indicators. Assess the medium-term prospects of the economy, especially the sustainability of public debt, and identify impediments to long-term growth. Identify possible risks and vulnerabilities to economic growth and identify policies to address them.
