About Programme

The HEC Executive Masters Program - Master Practitioner in Executive Coaching is a sixteen-month executive program designed to transform experienced professionals into master-level coaches. It fuses a rigorous foundation in evidence-based psychology with the advanced capabilities required to guide senior leaders through complex global challenges. Under the mentorship of top faculty and in collaboration with peers from across the world, participants develop a distinctive and ethical coaching philosophyone that enables them to partner with organizations to drive significant, demonstrable results.

Programme Content

Module 1: Foundations of Executive Coaching on-campus (HEC Paris)

The module equips you with essential coaching skills and behavior change theories to facilitate transformation through ethical, practical, and goalfocused strategies

Module 2: Coaching the Self online live session

Embark on a deep exploration of your inner landscape, using your Self as an instrument in coaching, questioning your assumptions and biases and clarifying your coaching philosophy

Module 3: Psychological Perspectives on Coaching on-campus (Berlin)

Discover and practice diverse coaching theories and approaches, including cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, neuroscience-informed, personcentered, positive psychology, existential, psychodynamic, gestalt, and transactional analysis, as well as the NLP.

Module 4: Coaching for Well-Being and Resilience on-campus (Qatar)

This module addresses the toll leadership can take by leveraging positive organisational scholarship to enhance resilience and well-being resources, using advanced tools and strategies to help you support leaders in unlocking their full potential.

Module 5: Evidence-Based Coaching online live session

Use science as a tool to sharpen your thinking and optimize your coaching effectiveness in various organizational contexts

Module 6: Coaching Groups and Teams on-campus (HEC Paris)

Explore advanced techniques and strategies for effectively coaching groups and teams in organizational settings, paying attention to group dynamics and psychological safety

Module 7: Reseaching Coaching on-campus (HEC Paris)

Become a competent data interpreter and use this module to become a researcher or creator.

Module 8: Coaching across Contexts and Systems online live session

By integrating systemic approach, cultural analysis, reflective practice, and ethical grounding, this module prepares students to deliver nuanced and impactful coaching.

Module 9: The Future of Coaching on-campus (HEC Paris)

What lies ahead for coaching in the age of AI and ever-accelerating change? Over and above critical considerations, participants will engage with cutting-edge concepts such as playfulness, improvisation, and creativity in coaching, developing their extensive coaching toolkit even further.

Programme Objective

Master the core coaching competencies as defined by the EMCC and ICF.

Run effective coaching sessions, establishing clear ground rules and contract, building relationship, using listening, questioning and summarizing skills.

Integrate a competent use of a range of coaching models, tools and techniques.

Acquire a thorough grounding in contemporary psychological theories as applied to coaching.

Develop the capability to facilitate deep insights and foster transformative learning experiences for clients, and translate these insights into actionable steps and measurable outcomes.

Demonstrate expertise in evidence-based coaching strategies for senior leaders, aligned with the latest scientific research and EMCC competencies.

Enhance leadership capabilities by integrating coaching practices that foster resilience, agility, and strategic thinking.

Critically apply ethical frameworks and reflective practices to navigate leadership challenges, ensuring adherence to professional standards.

Foster environments that encourage psychological safety, promoting open dialogue and innovative thinking.

Engage in reflective practice and self-exploration to craft and refine your personal coaching style and philosophy.

Commit to ongoing professional development and engage with a community of practice for continuous skill enhancement post-program completion.

Pédagogy:

36 days of live teaching over six intensive modules (192 synchronous hours)

Learn from the expertise of outstanding academic team worlds best award-winning executive coaching scholars and professionals

Exceptional, highly dynamic learning experience using evidence-based teaching, experiential learning, coaching in dyads and triads, case studies, simulations and reflective practice.

Learn to use and debrief validated psychometric instruments.

Extensive coaching experience in and outside the classroom.

6 individual sessions being coached by a professional coach.

9 small group supervision sessions with a professional supervisor

Study in a truly multi-cultural environment in three knowledge hubs with participants from all over the world.

Evaluations:

9 assessments: two 30-minute coaching videos, two reflective journals, two essays, a social media publication, a complete coaching portfolio and Masters Thesis.
