About Programme

The one-day CEP course on “Contract Law and Formal Contract Drafting” is designed to provide participants with a practical understanding of the legal principles governing contracts and the essential skills required for drafting formal civil infrastructure contractual documents. The course will cover key aspects of contract formation, enforceability, rights and obligations of parties, breach of contract, dispute resolution mechanisms, and important clauses commonly used in commercial and professional agreements. Emphasis will be placed on practical contract drafting techniques, legal risk assessment, interpretation of contractual provisions, and preparation of clear and legally enforceable agreements. Through discussions, examples, and case-based learning, the course aims to enhance participants’ ability to understand, draft, review, and manage contracts effectively in academic, industrial, governmental, and professional contexts.

The one-day CEP course on “Contract Law and Formal Contract Drafting” is designed to provide engineers, technocrats, entrepreneurs, consultants, project managers, and professionals with practical exposure to the legal and operational aspects of contracts. The course will focus on the fundamentals of contract law, including the essential elements of valid contracts, rights and obligations of parties, void and voidable contracts, breach of contract, and dispute resolution mechanisms.
