About Programme

The construction industry today is witnessing increasing complexity in project execution due to tight schedules, cost pressures, resource constraints, and stakeholder expectations. Successful delivery of infrastructure and building projects requires not only strong technical expertise but also robust planning, scheduling, monitoring, and collaborative production management practices. Traditionally, project management in construction has relied heavily on scheduling techniques such as the Critical Path Method (CPM) and project control systems using tools such as Primavera P6. While these methods provide structured approaches for planning and tracking project performance, modern projects increasingly require collaborative and reliable production planning approaches to improve workflow stability and reduce uncertainties, thereby demanding a more integrated approach. Lean Construction and the Last Planner Method have emerged as transformative approaches that complement traditional scheduling systems by emphasizing collaboration, commitment-based planning, workflow reliability, and continuous improvement. When integrated effectively with conventional scheduling techniques, these approaches can significantly improve project predictability, productivity, and overall project success. This course is targeted to students, academic professionals, and practicing engineers from the construction industry who aspire to build expertise in modern construction planning and control systems. The program is specifically designed for professionals who wish to gain both theoretical understanding and practical exposure to construction scheduling, earned value analysis, Primavera P6, Lean Construction principles, and the Last Planner Method. The course will provide participants with practical knowledge on developing project schedules, cost loading, monitoring project performance using earned value parameters, and implementing collaborative planning techniques through hands-on exercises. Real construction project cases and interactive learning sessions will be incorporated throughout the program. By integrating traditional project scheduling approaches with Lean Construction principles, the course aims to equip participants with the capability to effectively manage modern construction projects with improved coordination, transparency, and execution reliability.
