The CFO Program prepares financial leaders to excel by equipping them with technical expertise in core areas like accounting, finance, and treasury, along with skills in strategic thinking, leadership, and team management. You will learn how to effectively allocate capital and measure performance, make the right decisions about capital structure, and establish the governance and controls that your company needs to succeed. You will also learn to oversee technology, innovation, and transformation initiatives and how to interface effectively with partners in the C-suite and other stakeholders, such as boards and investors.

The program’s blended format delivers the flexibility of self-paced learning with the dynamic engagement of live sessions and the immersive depth of an in-person experience. This structure lets you balance professional commitments while fostering real-time connections with Booth’s renowned experts and a network of accomplished peers.

Programme Content

Course 1: The CFO, Now and Tomorrow Discover the evolving role of the CFO across a range of industries and companies, assess its demands, and determine how it aligns with your strengths, opportunities for growth, and professional aspirations.

Course 2: Strategic Decision-Making for the CFO This course equips you with tools to make strategic decisions using both internal and external financial information. You'll learn to evaluate capital allocation, product mix, and pricing decisions, as well as study how to engage external stakeholders using performance metrics and financial reports. Real business cases are used throughout to ground concepts in practice.

Course 3: Capital Structure Strategy for the CFO Learn about capital structure strategy and how to make optimal decisions about capital structure, including debt financing, equity funding, and asset securitization.

Course 4: Governance and Risk for the CFO Explore and develop frameworks for maintaining financial transparency, implementing controls, and effectively managing risk.

Course 5: Technology and Innovation for the CFO Assess technologies, such as AI, that can enhance and drive value for the CFO, learn about their use cases, and develop strategies to measure their returns.
