Managing Organisations

About Programme

Artificial Intelligence is transforming how organisations create value and remain competitive. The Cambridge AI Leadership Programme equips senior executives with the insight and capabilities to align AI initiatives with core business strategy, manage risks responsibly, and lead sustainable enterprise-wide transformation.

Through a blended format combining in-person, online and applied learning, the programme enables leaders to assess AI opportunities, shape organisational readiness, and drive innovation that is both ethical and commercially grounded.

Programme Content

Module 1: Leading an AI-ready organisation

This in-person module introduces core concepts in AI, including machine learning, generative AI, and cloud infrastructure. Participants examine the organisational implications of AI adoption, from culture and talent to digital transformation, and begin shaping a leadership approach that is both informed and adaptive.

By the end of this module, you will be able to:

engage confidently with key AI technologies and terminology

design approaches to foster AI-native cultures and talent strategies
lead cross-functional teams through AI-enabled transformation

Module 2: Refining AI Strategy | Live online

This module focuses on how AI is reshaping strategy, innovation and competitive advantage in a rapidly evolving business landscape. By exploring where, why and how AI strategy differs from traditional approaches, you will learn to evaluate strategic choices, assess risks and leverage strategic frameworks, models and tools to build effective AI-driven responses.

Module topics include:

AI strategy fundamentals: what aspects of strategy are the same, yet different, for AI?
Bringing strategy to life: the hard choices of what to pursue, and how to decide?
Implementation: what really hinders AI adoption and strategic change?
Ecosystems: why AI strategy sometimes takes a village.
Transformation: using business models to surface challenges and reveal opportunities.
Strategy in the dark: how do we make sense of things that have not been done before?

Module 3: Refining AI strategy: from vision to execution

The final in-person module addresses the operational and reputational dimensions of AI leadership. Participants refine their strategic plans while considering governance, ethics, regulation, and executive-level communication. The focus is on embedding AI responsibly and sustainably across the enterprise.

By the end of this module, you will be able to:
