Advancing Inclusion for Organizational Excellence

Organizations across the globe are going through cycles of implementing and managing diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) – each with their own motivations and initiatives. With increasing focus on employee engagement and wellbeing for greater productivity, managers need a nuanced grounding in contemporary DEI praxis and philosophies. Given the complexity of human behaviour, DEI policies need to take into account the challenges at individual, team, organizational level and contextual aspects. A key challenge lies in aligning DEI with business such that it supports sustainable performance of the firm.

This program is designed to help managers take a deep dive into the dynamics of creating and managing diversity and inclusion in organizations, especially in India. The program prepares participants to develop their critical thinking on organizational issues of DEI such as bias, interpersonal relations, crafting suitable policies and implementation of DEI practices. This program has been designed to gain a deeper understanding of contemporary DEI practices with a key focus on gender and disability. We will examine relations between business and DEI, the significance of organizational culture and contemporary practices surrounding the topic of D&I.

This short duration course is proposed for 18 hours. Participants would engage in sessions on:

The program will integrate experiential and workshop style sessions along with lectures and case studies for a deep dive on the subject.

Managers and Senior managers with general management, HR Business Partner responsibility, HR practitioners, and practitioners handling CSR/ESG related responsibility from diverse functional areas, professionals from MSMEs and start ups desirous of incorporating best practices in their organizations. The program is curated for individuals from private, public and social sector organizations seeking to lead diverse teams and design contemporary organizational policies and initiatives on DEI.
