Five Consecutive Weeks: On Campus

The on-campus version of AMP is a rigorous five-week program that prepares you to lead decisively by putting you into different leadership contexts that challenge the conventional wisdom and spurs new growth in all aspects of your professional and personal life. The experience is never easy but always rewarding. The curriculum covered and the faculty are the same as the modular version.

Four Modules: On Campus and Live Online

This format consists of four modules. Modules 1 and 4 are held on the University of Pennsylvania campus in Philadelphia. Modules 2 and 3 are live online classes, with each module totaling four days a month. The overall modular design allows for in-depth exploration of key business concepts and provides sufficient time between sessions to put the learning into practice. The modules also allow for cumulative learning within the AMP class that strengthens the learning community, ensuring that each participant builds strong bonds with one another. Also, the convenience of this format allows participants to benefit from a flexible format that covers the same content as the on-campus version without being absent from work for five consecutive weeks.

Pedagogy

Your Advanced Management Program experience will be enhanced through individual coaching sessions that begin before the program and extend beyond the close.

Coaching not only supports your learning during the fast-paced program but also helps you make the transition back to your workplace. It provides an intentional opportunity to take a step back for reflection, an incredibly valuable learning habit many senior executives don’t take the time to do. Because of the positive impact of coaching, many Advanced Management Program participants choose to retain their coach for months or years after the official sessions end.

Small-group coaching is also a part of Advanced Management Program. You will receive real-time feedback throughout the program as you share your goals and current challenges with your group. During experiential learning sessions, you will experiment with your stretch goals and have the opportunity to practice new behaviors and make changes during the AMP. Your group is a learning support for each other, and the issues you choose to work on can be reshaped during the program.

The modular version of the Advanced Management Program offers an expanded coaching experience to provide additional support and connection for both participants and coaches between the live online classes. Participants in the modular version of AMP will receive 10 individual coaching sessions.

The on-campus Advanced Management Program consists of five consecutive weeks on the University of Pennsylvania campus in Philadelphia. The experience includes a minimum of five individual coaching sessions that are conducted during and soon after the completion of AMP.

Tiffany Willis

Vinu Thomas

Jill Tiongco

"Theres no doubt that this program is a major investment of time and money, but if youre looking to invest in yourself and looking to invest in your leadership skills and your career, then this is the program for you."

Adam Perlow

Chief Operating Officer, Northstar New Jersey Lottery Group

"As an entrepreneur, you can feel like you’re on an island. Leaders aren’t able to divulge or discuss everything with their team. AMP provides a strong network of leaders. In the six months since the program ended, I’ve reached out to participants for feedback and assistance and even added one of the participants to our advisory board, a bonus I was not expecting. You change, personally and professionally, and it doesn’t stop when the program is over."

Harsha Rodrigues

President, Lakeside Project Solutions, LLC

"Wharton’s AMP is not for executives who just want to tick the education box. You have to want to make a change in your career, either by stepping up to a higher level or going somewhere else. It opens your eyes to what is possible. If you go through the program and you’re not able to enact the kinds of changes you are inspired to lead, you will be frustrated. That is where I was, and AMP came at the right time for me."

Akhil Prasad

Managing Partner, LionsPride Partners

"AMP was one of the most profound experiences of my life. The experience was analogous with peeling away the layers of an onion. This forced deep introspection (something that I hadnt done for a very long time), which created an unbelievable level of renewed self-awareness. For me the programme design helped surface the real me.’ Whilst these onion layers were being peeled away I realized how outdated many of the tools that I used in business had become. Some needed replacing and others needed sharpening. Most importantly, in this exposed state, we developed meaningful friendships and an extended community that nurtured each of us, helping us rebuild ourselves. I left a far more complete and better human being than when I arrived."

Shelby Edwards

REAP Consulting Ltd.

"My experience at the AMP program has been the best educational experience I have ever had. I would never have imagined the impact that Wharton has made in my life, company, and within the security industry. In these difficult economic times, my companys business has been booming with new growth and I have no problems getting credit. I really believe that all of this has been because of Wharton. I put Wharton learning into action with my company, and that has been the key for me."

Camille Gooden

CEO/President, The World Protection Group, Inc.

"When I joined Unilever Turkey, I was the only foreigner on the board. Whartons Advanced Management Program focused on how to manage a transnational organization in a fast-moving environment. I did things I probably wouldnt have done before, like taking the high ground and staying there as long as possible. From the program, I have a personal toolkit that I refer to quite often."
